Anusheh Warda
First Grade Teaching Assistant

Anusheh Warda graduated from UC-San Diego with a B.A. in Psychology and will participate in the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute credential program while teaching at SFFS. She has worked with children in a variety of settings for almost eight years. Her philosophy towards education has grown to encompass three main areas: cooperation, real-world lessons and wholly nurturing the child. In her free time, she enjoys rock-climbing, river rafting, gourmet cooking and crafting. Her name comes from her dad’s side of the family, who are native Assyrian Iranians, a small Christian minority that is all but extinct in Iran. She is “fairly fluent” in Assyrian, which she says has almost no practical purpose in her life beyond her family! Her mother descends from people engaged in all stages of American history from the Mayflower to westward pioneer movement. Anusheh’s parents were missionaries in Japan and her grandmother is a Quaker.
