Giving at SFFS

Each year, San Francisco Friends School (SFFS) turns to its families and friends for additional support, financial and otherwise. We recognize that this is a meaningful request, particularly in light of the tuition expense already shouldered by families. But, the volunteer and philanthropic support we receive is critically important to our school and makes a difference on many levels.

The most visible impact of giving back is seen in our ability to offer an outstanding academic program in tandem with a school community based on Quaker values, including simplicity, peaceful problem solving, equality, and integrity. Because tuition alone does not cover the full costs of educating students at SFFS, charitable contributions help us attract and retain exceptional teachers, provide equipment for programs in science and the arts, and offer competitive tuition assistance. Donations also help maintain a safe and clean physical space for our students, teachers, and community members.

In our short history, our school community has built a culture of philanthropy and stewardship that we cherish. We cultivate this through a spirit of giving back – through volunteer opportunities, the Annual Fund, our annual Blue Party auction, and a variety of other ways. We hope the spirit of giving will continue to flourish at SFFS and welcome your interest and support.
