A native of the Bay Area, Marina attended Humboldt State University where she received a B.A. in Fine Arts, and California College of the Arts where she completed her Master’s in Fine Arts. She has taught children and adolescents and served as a guest artist, artist-in-residence and lecturer at the San Francisco Day School and Marin Academy. Marina has attended a seminar in the Responsive Classroom and been a participant in a S.E.E.D. (Seeking Equity and Educational Diversity) discussion group. She served as an Assistant in the “Friends Around the World” Summer camp at San Francisco Friends School in 2003, and has directed the school’s growing summer camp since 2005. Marina’s love of knitting keeps her hands busy crafting tiny sweaters and large sculptures. Marina and her partner, Olivier, are proud parents to Rezki, born in 2009.
