Bliss has been at SFFS since its founding days, originally serving as our Admissions Director and Curriculum Coordinator and launching the Developmental Support program before moving into the classroom full-time in 2004. She began her education career at Francis W. Parker School and the Winnetka Public Schools in Chicago, and then moved west to teach at The Head-Royce School in Oakland. Bliss is a graduate of Yale University and received her M.A. in Teaching from the University of Chicago. She has extensive experience in curriculum design, has worked closely with Reggio Emilia educators, and studied as a fellow with Harvard’s Project Zero under the leadership of current colleague, Jen Stewart. Bliss has traveled to Sweden to pursue her passion for swing dancing and recently traveled to Vietnam to adopt her daughter, Lily.
