Marlene Sloger joined SFFS in 2008 with more than a decade of development experience. She was the Associate Director of Leadership Gifts at Princeton University, served as the Director of Development at the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California, Bay Area Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and Common Cause, a nonprofit organization working for open and accountable government. Marlene grew up outside Washington, D.C., daughter to two scientists. Due in part to her proximity to great museums, she developed a love of history and pop culture, earning her B.A. in American Studies at Eckerd College and Master’s in American Civilization from Brown University. Her first experience with Quaker education came at Camp Celo at age seven where she spent five glorious summers. Residing in the Mission, Marlene and her partner, Hans, are usually on the go with their energetic boys, four-year-old Julian and baby Hendrik.
