Shannon K'doah Range
Director of Communications

Shannon K’doah Range has an unusual name and an unusual career. Before joining us at SFFS this summer, he taught soccer in South Africa, completed doctoral studies in the politics of American education, directed education outreach for a NASA mission studying Einstein, and analyzed the underlying narratives of Earthjustice’s website. Shannon grew up “back East” - childhood in Vermont, high school outside Washington, DC, college at Connecticut College. His parents, a political journalist and a cross-cultural trainer, gave him the travel bug early on which led to extended stays in northern Thailand and the townships of South Africa. Despite growing up on the East Coast (or maybe because of it), Shannon loves living in the Bay Area with his partner, Laura, and their two children, William (7) and Lila (2). In his free time, he coaches his son’s little league baseball team and teaches all his players to love both the Giants and the Red Sox.
