Ellen Pack grew up in New York and earned her BA and MBA from Columbia University with a period in between working in the economic studies program at Brookings in Washington, DC.  After business school, she moved to the Bay Area to work for a start-up software company.  She left there to start Women.com in the early 1990s, which she helped run for 10 years until its merger with iVillage.  She then became a partner at Town & Country Resources, a household staffing agency.  She helped to expand its operations and services and sold the company in 2008.  Ellen lives in San Francisco with her daughter Maya who is in the class of 2015.
