Learning Specialist (Middle School)

Before joining the SFFS community, Mitch worked with elementary, middle, and high school students as a classroom teacher, tutor and educational therapist. Mitch has a B.A. in American Studies from Yale, a teaching credential from San Francisco State, an M.Ed. in educational therapy from Holy Names, and sore wrists from the Academy of Art. He is trained in Making Math Real and the Slingerland Language Approach. Since childhood, he has loved doodling (“cartooning”), playing in the dirt (“gardening”), and singing in the car with the doors and windows closed.
