greta kent-stoll

The second of four children, Greta was born and raised in Santa Cruz in a family of educators. Her father, a professor of philosophy, and her mother, a literature and poetry teacher, run a nonprofit in Tanzania when they are not teaching. Greta started ballet at the age of nine, and discovered yoga at age 20 while earning her B.A. in Psychology and Dance. It was her studies with Kofi Busia, Senior Iyengar yoga teacher, that inspired her to pursue the practice and study of Iyengar Yoga in particular. Greta is a certified yoga teacher, has studied martial arts, and will make her first trip to India to study with the Iyengars in July 2011. Since college, Greta has tutored children through AmeriCorps and taught yoga at the Gator Youth Sports Camp, YWCA-Chinatown, and Adult Protective Services.
