Kendrew, Erin
First Grade Teacher

Erin Kendrew was born and raised in New Zealand, graduating with her B.A. in English and History from Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. She went on to receive her teaching diploma, and launched her career immediately. In more than a decade of teaching, Erin has taught kindergartners in Wellington and Christchurch in her home country, first and second graders in Egypt and England, and kindergartners in Oakland. Erin was trained with Harvard’s “Project Zero” curriculum and year-long fellowship with the Making Math Real program, and has experience in numerous reading, writing and literacy programs. At Head-Royce School, Erin coordinated with two Oakland public schools to implement a service-learning program. Erin moved to San Francisco with her Dutch husband, Dieuwe, and young daughter, Ava, in 2007.
