Kent joins San Francisco Friends School performing arts team with over 20 years of music teaching and administrative experiences from Lincoln Unified School District in Stockton, Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, The Park School in Brookline, San Francisco Day School and, most recently, at The Nueva School on the Peninsula. He has supervised teachers, developed curriculum, served as department coordinator, and conducted children's choruses at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Ragazzi Boys Chorus. Kent has also performed and recorded with the Gay Men's Choruses of San Francisco and Boston. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the Pacific, his Master's in Music Education from Holy Names University, and earned additional certifications in the Kodaly and Orff-Schulwerk methodologies. In addition to maintaining a private studio of voice and piano for children, he spends his free time accruing and redeeming frequent flier miles, playing volleyball, and following the world of amateur figure skating.
