Jain, Chris
Fourth Grade Teacher

In 2005, Chris served as a second grade teaching assistant at Friends School but felt the need to spread his wings. He headed to Aurora, Colorado where he completed his teaching credential and B.A. in Sociology at Colorado College. He also taught kindergarten, first, and second grade for three years, focusing on the needs of English language learners and the challenges of differentiated math instruction. This inspired him to complete his Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Grand Canyon University in Colorado. Chris’ professional development include workshops on ESL, gifted-and-talented program development, diversity and mathematics teaching and has volunteered in rural Honduras. Chris is an avid skier, mountain biker and cook and a die-hard Bears fan.
