Raised in Curacao in the Caribbean, Suzanne is fluent in Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamentu and enjoys using her Spanish to welcome visitors to SFFS and to translate admissions materials. A graduate of Smith and Bank Street College of Education, Suzanne has more than seventeen years as an educator and administrator - she’s worked at the International School in Curacao, at Corlears and Ethical Culture School in New York City, and at Santa Catalina, Nueva, and Ring Mountain Day School here in California. Suzanne has led countless service learning journeys, organizing middle and high school tours and home stays in Ecuador, Fiji, Thailand, Mongolia, India, and Cambodia. She lives in San Francisco with her partner, Stephen, and their four-year-old son, Anemo.
