Isabel joined the SFFS development team from Women’s Initiative for Self Employment, where she managed the individual giving programs. Previously, Isabel coordinated development for nonprofits focused on promoting economic justice and closing the achievement gap, including Breakthrough Collaborative and the Impact Fund. Isabel speaks fluent Spanish and spent several years teaching in Spain, first with Queens English College and then with Europa Public School. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz and has also studied at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Universidad de Cádiz, and the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Madrid. Isabel was raised in rural Northern California and descends from Quakers of North Berwick, Maine.
