Anil has been interested in physical and theoretical world ever since he started peering through a telescope at eight years old. Born in London to parents who emigrated from Punjab, India, Anil studied engineering geophysics at the Colorado School of Mines and education at Fort Lewis College and DePaul University. He has been enriched by the students and teachers in the Navajo Nation, Seattle and Chicago Public Schools and the Latin School of Chicago. He enjoys collecting rocks on Funston Beach with his partner, Jan, and “puppy”, OZ. He is on the board of San Francisco Amateur Astronomers, loves to loan telescopes, cook Indian food, and discuss Philosophy of Science, Art History and the significance of the American Revolution.
