Diali Bose-Roy joined the SFFS team after completing her Master’s in Education Leadership at Columbia. The daughter of a nuclear engineer and a civil engineer, Diali grew up just outside of Los Angeles. Her extended family hails from Kolkata, India, and her family speaks Bengali at home. Diali studied biology at Scripps College, and eventually switched to documentary filmmaking. Diali worked for several years in television production until deciding to begin her journey as an educator, first running an after-school enrichment program in southern California and then enrolling at Boston’s Lesley College elementary education graduate program. When Diali is not studying or teaching, she goes underwater - scuba-diving in the Caribbean, in the lava tubes of Hawaii, on the Great Barrier Reef, and shark diving in Belize.
